Millersburg Preschool is a parent cooperative for children ages 3 through 5. Through the guidance of a professional teacher, children enjoy a rich play environment. Our structured setting provides periods of self-selected activities and social interaction as well as planned group activities such as journal writing, story writing and acting, art, music, and science. We believe that creativity and free expression are enhanced through an overall orderly routine and behavior limits which encourage a child’s self control and respect for the rights of others. We emphasize cooperation and mutual respect among the children, teacher, and parents. Presently our preschool operates Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The summer session also operates Tuesday and Thursday mornings for approximately six weeks. Millersburg Alumni School is for kindergarten, first, second and third grade graduates of Millersburg Preschool. During the school year, Alumni school students come together once a week from 5:45-7:45 PM to socialize and learn about a specific, child-selected topic.
